Living in a time of war is not exactly pleasant, though it does help to keep one's priorities in check. I decided a change in my occupation was in order. More like, I was sacked for taking too many sick days. I don't want to do something I despise everyday, and I have enough saved up to take a little reflection time to decide what I want to do. That's not actually true. Not even a little bit. I feel horrible for those who have lost love ones due to the blind hatred of others in this war. So many innocents have lost their lives, and it's truly disheartening to believe that such hate exists.

All I really want to do right now is curl up under a quilt with a mug of hot cocoa. But even that seems a little selfish.



We probably ought to have a meeting to talk about what James, Sirius and I discovered. Also, to sort of get a game plan going on what we can do to try to prevent more Muggle deaths. I fear that so many unexplained deaths could cause unwanted attention to our world, and I don't think the Death Eaters care.

If more people would think like you do, the world would be a better place. Your job should be something you love, something you care about, something you think can help improve the world, even just in your own little way.

Besides, selfish or not, everyone needs some downtime every once in a while. And I've thought of some of my best ideas from under a quilt whilst drinking a warm cuppa.

Careful, you might give me a bit of an ego! Seriously though, I just think that life's too short to be stuck doing something you dislike. Especially when living in times like these.

As have I. Cocoa can do wonders for brain power.

I'm not offering you spare pennies out of pity, Remus, in case that's what you're thinking. We are ALL working on the same thing. It's just that not everyone inherits thousands of galleons out of nowhere, right?

Helping my friends out is probably the only benefit of being an 19 year old orphan. Don't act like I've earned something and am willing to share it with those less competant. That has no truth in it whatsoever.

I know you want to help, and that means a lot to me. It's just that you, Pads, and Wormy have done so much for me already. I don't mean to sound ungrateful, you have no idea how grateful I am to all of you. I'm sorry, it's just hard for me to accept anything else when you've already given me so much.

We all had fun. A lot of fun! So don't feel the least bit guilty about it.

Just accept some help, please? It's just temporary until we can get our lives back on track. No one who's dedicating himself to the Order as much as you are should be having extra concerns.

Ought we now? And mercy me, the Death Eaters not caring? That's such a shock.

We can't prevent muggle deaths without information on when things like that are going to happen. Unless you've got a seer all tucked up into your pocket. We can feed false information to muggle papers so that they don't worry about the icky Dark Lord though.

...There's plenty of things we can keep trying to do. We're trying to put an end to this war. If we don't try then we won't get anything done. It's better than just sitting around waitintg for something horrible to happen.
